Imma be honest, the way the Lord kept hardening the Pharaohs heart just so he could keep having an excuse to further torment the Egyptians... it's kinda messed up! I for one am glad the big guy mellowed out a bit when he became a father.

i love these videos because they really get across the point that the prophets were legit just PEOPLE. not high and mighty saints, but anxious, angry, fed-up, desperate people that God used back then and therefore shows us that we too can be used in wonderful ways even though we’re also just average joes. love love love this series and your other mythology videos!!! :)))

I like your interpretation of the events here, but i want to add one thing: God trying to kill Moses for seemingly no reason kinda falls in line with him also attacking/wrestling with Jacob in Genesis and breaking Jacob's hip. Like, before he fully commits, he likes to mortally test people and see how they handle themselves.

I think i remember somehwere that the reason god hardened Pharoah's heart was because someone removed references to other gods existing. So instead of "the gods of egypt" hardening his heart, it was god god.

The heart hardening wasn't just GDs way of sending a message to Egypt. An important element of repentance in Judaism involves seeking, and gaining forgiveness from the ones you have wronged. While other people aren't guaranteed to forgive you, it's assumed GD will always forgive. By hardening Pharaohs heart GD was refusing any forgiveness Pharaoh could offer, saying that Pharaoh was irredeemable to the point he didn't deserve forgiveness.

Amazing. I love both the references to the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) mythology and the historical giggles about Re(e)d Sea, not to mention making fun of the nonsensical, cruel and inhuman parts of the bible never gets old (can't wait for all these stories in Judges or much sooner, when we go to Joshua and his conquests of Jericho, Ai et cetera). If memory serves me well, I remember that this specific part of the Bible was ancient propaganda to depict the Egyptians as evil slave keepers (which they were). But that was coming from people who they themselves WERE slave owners.

Kind of understanding why Abrahamitic religions think they have the biggest snake-staff of all the religions.

I really appreciate this video, because there are usually two types of biblical videos: videos too serious that only Christians would ever watch, and videos that purposely misconstrue the bible to spread hate and lies. However, you are wrong about God hardening pharoah's heart. We know this because Pharaoh's heart had been hardened earlier and God was not involved. The truth is God's actions hardened Pharaoh's heart. Effectively, you know when you het into an argument with someone and they refuse to see the truth? In that argument you're hardening their heart, i believe that's what the bible meant and just to be clear I'm not the only one and I'm certainly not the smartest person to say this.

I think it would be cool if later on there was a video made about prophet jeremiah and his prophecies about jerusalems fall to babylon or on the book of revelation in detail. But so far these are good videos, nice job!!

Where's the Underground Railroad? That's in Exodus, right? 🙃🤪 The Nile splits into 7 forks in the Bible. Only the Mississippi River does that. The "Egyptian" Nile only splits 3 times. Not even close. Same story over and over. Same stage location. Same lead casting in different clothing and roles at different times. They've just reversed the psychology and turned all the teachings backwards for this round. Egypt was in the Americas. 😁 About time everyone figured that out. ALL of the cities mentioned biblically are right here in the USA... and are even located exactly where they're described to be... Unlike across the ocean. Haven't even changed the city names. Surprise! We're ALL living the story NOW. Same story playing out that's been on loop forever.
